Egg-citing things are happening in Ludlow!

Springtime is officially here! With the warmer weather, our community has begun to come out of hibernation, and the town has some neat outdoor events lined up for you to keep on your radar:

The Hubbard Memorial Library has a fantastic lineup of events and activities for kids to enjoy during school vacation. One of which is the “Eggstravaganza” on April 19, an egg-themed artwork search! Another very egg-citing event in the works is the Recreation Department’s Whitney Park Easter Egg Hunt, which will start at 11:30 a.m. on April 19.

The Department of Public Works will continue its tradition of planting a tree in recognition of Earth Day, April 22. The DPW will plant the tree alongside Cub Scout Pack 1774 and Scout Troop 1774 at the Reservoir Cemetery at 10 a.m.

We hope you have a very “hoppy” April!

Spotlight on Excellence

Ray and Noreen Vigneault fulfilled a lifelong dream when they opened the doors for PLAYNOW!

Husband and wife, Ray was a dreamer working in retail and Noreen was a schoolteacher inspiring students to reach their goals. Now, they enjoy running PLAYNOW! together with the goal of providing fun and learning while playing.

PLAYNOW! is unique because it carries toys, games, and comics, and focuses on having something for all ages. From Nee Doh sensory toys to 9000-piece puzzles, 80% of what PLAYNOW! has in inventory cannot be found in big-box stores.

PLAYNOW! offers a place in Ludlow where families can go for a special shopping experience. At the store, kids can actually shop for toys while the parents follow behind. The store’s safe atmosphere allows families to relax and enjoy their shopping experience.

Ray and Noreen are local owners, with a commitment to supporting area establishments. From Big Y to Rocky’s to Randall’s Farm, they shop locally for all of their needs.

The store has a Rewards program called PLAYNOW! Perks where customers can earn points for discounts on future purchases. Anyone can stop into the store to sign up – it only takes about 30 seconds!
